After 3 seasons as captain Josh Wadforth has stepped down from the position, ending on a massive high from leading our 1st XV to promotion!

Josh has said,
“Being club captain meant a lot more to me as this would mean I’ve followed the footsteps of many family relatives including my dad.

I have loved every minute as captain, whether that be on the pitch with the boys, shaking hands with youth and minis or even doing my bit on a volunteers day!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Braintree Rugby Club for the last 3 years of support and I can’t wait for many more seasons in the black and amber strip.”

We would like to take this chance to thank Josh for all of his hard work on and off the pitch. We look forward to seeing him play again in the new season!
