It was with great sadness that we heard recently that George Trout, who played for Braintree for many years as a mini and youth player alongside Max Turner, Josh Hine, Kingsley Joslin and Matt Pickles passed away at the weekend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. George was a fine young man and will be greatly missed.

Here is a message from his sister regarding his funeral:
Just to let you all know George's funeral will be on Friday 20th June at 12.15pm (but please arrive a bit earlier than that) at Saint Luke's church, Tiptree. If you wish to send flowers they should be sent to the Coop Funeral Services, 213a High Street, Kelvedon, Essex, CO5 9JD to arrive by 9.30am on the morning of the funeral. In addition, donations to the charity MIND can be made in memory of George by cash or cheque on the day of the funeral or to the above address by 20th July.
