Braintree U11's hosted a solid Old Albanians side on a windy and chilly morning. The sides looked fairly even in the early minutes but Braintree began to stretch them by playing the ball through the back line and testing the defence of Old Albanians a few times. We were close to scoring in the first few minutes but the ball was held up and knocked forward on the Old Albanians line two or three times.

The break through eventually came after about 8 minutes which settled the team down and a further try was scored with the last play of the first qtr to give Braintree the lead 2 tries and one conversion to nil (12-0). Braintree continued to apply the pressure and scored points in every qtr played. The score at the end of the first half was 17 - 0 and the final result was 60-0 with Braintree remaining dogged in all areas of play.

Braintree were again dominant in the scrums, winning the majority against the head, making up for some uncharacteristic handling errors. Tackling was stronger this week and rucking was solid, securing a number of turnover balls.

Another strong performance from the entire squad with some great running and passing rugby leading to 10 tries and a solid defence that saw Old Albanians not really test the Braintree line.
