Braintree Vixens travelled to Stanford-Le-Hope on a hot Sunday sporting their brand new kit all sponsored by Eastlight Community Housing.

The vixens were playing with the sun on their backs in the first half however the wingers from Stanford Sirens ran around Braintree a fair few times. However, despite Stanfords best efforts our Braintree Ladies slipped through their grasps resulting in a couple tries in the first half, scored by Siân Topper and Dawn Butler. Ending the first 40 minutes with some numbers on the board (38-17 to Stanford-Le-Hope)

The second half saw Braintree come back with a-vengeance against a strong Stanford- with tries and conversions being scored by Fay Ingram, Jade Worster, Dawn Butler, Mary Cooksey, Jackie Ridgwell and our honorary player Kelly Brown.

Despite best efforts, the final score didn't go our way with it ending 55-51 to Stanford Le Hope.

Players of the match went to Dawn Butler & Siân Topper who made an impactful comeback after only giving birth to her son 2 months ago.
