West Walsham v Braintree Warriors

The last Sunday in February saw some sunshine finally after all the rain and the Warriors making the 200 mile round trip for the next game in the Eastern Counties Conference away at West Walsham.

With 17 girls making the trip it was yet again another strong Warriors team that took the pitch and with our girls receiving the ball from the kick off it was game time.

With some powerful running and good handling skills we were soon deep into their territory where we traded possession with them but keeping them pinned down on their 22 but with steady application to the task in hand it wasn’t long before we was in for the first try of the day and with the successful conversion it was the perfect start.

After the restart it was like our girls just hit the repeat button and yet again no matter how well WW defended it was Braintree over for another try and with converted it was the perfect start and no jet lag after the early start to the day and long travelling.

Now after the next restart it we soon progressed back into West Walsham territory and it wasn’t long before a nice move thru the hands saw our girls troubling the scorer once again.

With the warriors really starting to gel now and all working together and for each other it didn’t matter how well organised or how determined the opposition were our warriors had the .

Half time came and went and it was more of the same please as continued dedication to the cause even in defence ment we was playing the game completely on our terms, no matter what the opposition thru at us our defensive line held strong and kept them out.

With more try’s coming in the second half the score board was purring along now and with full time approaching West Walsham threw everything at us in an effort to score but with grit and determination right to the final whistle ensured a shut out and a 39-0 win on the road for the warriors.
