A tough match for B'tree against a larger team in terms of size and player numbers. The story of the 1st half was B'tree having to carry out a considerable amount of defensive work, partly from mistakes and handling errors resulting in turnover ball for Romford to attack with. When we did manage to string some phases of play together we looked threatening, which resulted in the one and only try from B'tree in the 1st half (Max Verguson scoring), unfortunately Romford scored 4 tries. The 2nd half was more positive, still we gave them to much possession to play with especially from our own scrums and rucks, but from chip kicks over the top B'tree were having some success, just unable though to have the luck of the bounce or scooping up a greasy ball to convert the opportunities into Tries. The one ray of sunshine from the half was a well worked B'tree attack resulting in a try in the corner from winger Charlie Booty, plus restricting Romford to only 1 try in the half. Consistent improvement is the name of the game which unfortunately stalled from the success of the previous match.
Final score 5 - 2
